Having already tested them myself on a 300-plus-pound commercial chest freezer, I decided to let some true professionals give them a try. So I took a pair over to T-N-T Moving Systems in Charlotte, NC. These guys are the official moving company of the NFL's Carolina Panthers so they seemed to be perfect for the task.
The owner, at first sight, was pretty unimpressed. Apparently, they and most other moving companies already use a similar system with old nylon straps. But he graciously agreed to let the guys give them a try for a week to satisfy my field test. He called a few days later asking me to bring five more Forearm Forklift's by the office. They wanted to have at least one set on all of their trucks.
The difference, he said, was that while the old nylon straps work on the same principle, the Forearm Forklift was much safer because of the non-slip padding on the forearms. The guys were also able to get better leverage with varying sizes of furniture and appliances because of the different levels of adjustments. Overall, he felt the investment was worth it to give his guys something that would make their job easier and save them any chances of scratched floors & banged-up walls from handtrucks.
And there's no reason for you to take that chance either. Each set of Forearm Forklifts can carry as much as 700-pounds & are only about per pair. Even two small women can move anything around the house.
